A villa, which was raided in Nth. Kuta on February 12th, lead to the discovery of drugs and paraphernalia resulting in the arrest of a 37-year-old Sydney based New Zealand woman. According to press reports, police claim the raid uncovered 132 grams of MDMA and 27 grams of marijuana. Scales and plastic bags were also discovered. The evidence suggests, it is likely she could be a dealer because as a police spokesperson told the media, if she is only a user, why does she need a scale. According to the womans lawyer, the 37-year-old from Rotorua, New Zealand, arrived in Bali only days before the arrest to visit friends. The lawyer confirmed there had been a party in the villa before the arrest with some friends who had already left Bali. The New Zealand Consul and the embassy in Jakarta are providing consular services and are monitoring the case.
