Police have revealed the arrest of a suspect in the rape of an Australian woman on holiday in Bali.

Police in Bali said the suspect was in custody but because of the sensitive nature surrounding the investigation, the suspect’s name would not be released at this time.

The incident occurred in the womens villa on April 27th 2013 by alleged thieves. The women was on holiday in the villa with seven family members.

Three people are believed to have been involved in the robbery but only one of the suspects is being questioned regarding rape.

However, police believed the person in custody is indeed the rapist because of sketches provided by the victim. At this time, the suspect had not confessed.

According to police, the victim chose the correct sketch from three sketches presented, one of which was of the suspect.

Currently, the suspect is being identified by the initial A, while police are persuing other suspects.
