According to the Bali Provincial Bureau of Statistics, the number of foreign visitors arriving in Bali has dropped by 4.2% in July of this year when compared to the same time period last year.

The number of foreign tourists visiting in July 2012 reached 271,512 people compared to last year when 283,524 visitors were recorded.

The top five countries who contributed the most tourists are as follows: Australia 27.37%, China 10.21%, Japan 6.16%, France 5.55%, and Malaysia 4.14%.

Tourists arriving in Bali from January through July 2012 was recorded at 1,646,720 people, an increase of 3.75% on the previous year.

Five- star hotel occupancy was reported at 62.28% with an average stay of 3.09 days in July. Other hotels had an occupancy rate of 40.55%.
