During January 2013, bottles of alcohol in their thousands were confiscated by the Custom Office of Bali from a warehouse on Jl. Bypass Ngurah Rai.
The alcohol was seized by the Customs and Excise because the bottles were allegedly tagged with fake import stickers and because of this they may have avoided tax payments worth billions of rupiah.
Large amounts of branded liquor like Johnny Walker, Gentleman Jack, Chivas Regal, Hennessy and Belvedere Vodka, were allegedly imported from Singapore.
The case continues to be investigated.
