As of April 01 2015, it is proposed departure and arrival cards will no longer need to be completed at Ngurah Rai Airport.
The new system, known as Immigration Information System is expected to reduce the time required to complete immigration checks, thus allowing the departure and arrival of visitors to be more efficient.
This new innovative system is expected to be operational at 19 airports and 11 ports throughout Indonesia.
Currently,when foreigners are given departure and arrival cards,they apparently do not necessarily fill in the information correctly.
However, in addition to the above there is no information on how the system would work.
Only time will tell, but it is a good idea.
