Recent statistics have shown Japanese tourists to Bali were down by 104,778 or 26.58% over a seven month period from January 1st until July 31st 2011 compared with 2010 during the same period. Mr Gede Suarsa, the head of the Bali Central Statistics Agency said the number had fallen because of the tsunami and the current economic conditions of the country. It was also reported in related news that the future of foreign tourists visiting Bali would be mainly made up of Chinese and Indian visitors because of the general wealth currently being enjoyed and shared in these booming countries. It is apparent, many more people from these two countries will be in a position to travel in the future.
